The Coalition is looking for people who would like to get involved in developing a system to provide health care for low-income uninsured people in Anchorage. Below are the steps that need to be accomplished for setting up the Health Care Provider Network. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer at any level.

What Needs to be Done to Establish Anchorage Project Access 11/16/2004

1. Identify credentialing criteria for participating health care providers
2. Recruit physicians (primary and specialty care), and mid-level practitioners
3. Identify and set up volunteer service sites
4. Obtain agreement for hospital services
5. Develop a pharmacy program
6. Define participant eligibility
7. Determine enrollment procedures
8. Define what types of case management will be provided
9. Establish computerized methods for patient tracking
10. Develop evaluation criteria and procedures
11. Coordinate with existing health and social services outreach providers in Anchorage.
